The India-based phone maker, Intex, has ventured into the Smartwatch segment with the launch of its first smartwatch at the on-going Mobile World Congress in Shanghai called iRist. The device will go so sale in August exclusively on eBay.in with a price tag of Rs 11,999 ($187 USD).
The Intex iRist sports a 1.56-inch OLED display with a resolution of 240 x 240 pixels, overlayed on top with Sapphire glass protection. Diving in, the smartwatch is driving by a dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, alongside with 512MB RAM. It includes a 4GB of built-in storage that is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 32GB).

Notably, the Intex iRist is waterproof and dustproof, which earns it IP65 certification. Also, it can be use to make/receive phone calls with 3G onboard. There’s a 5-megapixel camera at the right-hand size for taking pictures and recording videos. Android 4.4.2 KitKat governs all internal activities with Google Play Store pre-installed out-of-the-box as well.
Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, Wifi, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is turn on by a 600mAh battery. According to Intex, the battery can deliver up to 4 hours of talk time when fully charged.
