Karbonn on Thursday has launched a new affordable smartphone in India dubbed Aura. The phone carries a price tag of Rs 4,990 ($79 USD) and will be available in all retailers outlets before next week.
The Karbonn Aura comes with a 5-inch IPS display touting a FWVGA (854 x 480 pixel) resolution. It support dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) and runs Android 4.4 KitKat OS out-of-the-box with no words on Lollipop update. Under the hood, the device is driven by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) coupled with 512MB of RAM.

It packs an 8GB of built-in storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card (up to 32GB). The Karbonn Aura bears a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash at the rear while a 2-megapixel camera is placed at the front. Connectivity options onboard are 3G, Bluetooth, Wifi, 2G, GPS, and Micro-USB. A 2000mAh removable battery turn on the device.
