Lenovo has officially launched two new budget smartphones in China, Vibe X3 the main, and Vibe X3 Youth a mini variant, the successors of Vibe X2 released along with Vibe Z2 in September last year. The first is priced at CN¥ 2499 ($390 USD) and the second at CN¥ 1889 ($295 USD), both are available for pre-orders on the company’s China official webpage. Lenovo also launched a 64GB variant of Vibe X3, priced at CN¥ 2999 ($468 USD). However, there is no word yet on availability outside China.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 and Vibe X3 Youth sports some identical specifications. Both runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Vibe UI, and has hybrid dual SIM slots that enable second SIM slot to be use as MicroSD card slot. Also, both has same screen size and resolution, supports 4G LTE, and sports a fingerprint sensor at the back for smart security and authentication.

The Lenovo Vibe X3 features a 5.5-inch display with a full-HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor of unknown clock speed, and has an external MicroSD expandable storage with support of up to 128GB. The Vibe X3 packs a 21-megapixel camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and Sony IMX230 sensor at the rear, accompanied with twin-LED flash, while it is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera at the front. The rear camera can record video in 4K resolution while the front camera can record video in full-HD (1080p).
Connectivity options included besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11ac, 3G HSPA+, and GPS/A-GPS. It is backed by a 3,600mAh battery.
The Lenovo Vibe X3 Youth also possess same screen size and resolution as Vibe X3, but is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. It has a 16GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.
A 13-megapixel autofocus camera is placed at the rear with LED flash, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS. It is turn on by a 3,400mAh battery.
