Motorola has officially launched the second generation of its Moto G and Moto X smartphones, the Moto G (Gen 2) and Moto X (Gen 2) at a price of EUR 162 (approx $215) and EUR 377 (approx $499) respectively. According to NDTV, the smartphones can be purchase in India on Flipkart starting from tomorrow at Rs 12,999. The company claims it will be releasing Android L updates for both device.
The Moto G (Gen 2) features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×1280 pixel, it offers dual SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and runs Android 4.4.4 kitKat out-of-the-box.
The Moto G (Gen 2) is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2GHz alongside with 1GB of RAM. The smartphones comes in two storage variants – 8GB and 16GB, both of which are expandable via MicroSD. It sports an 8- megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel secondary front camera.

On the connectivity front, the Moto G (Gen 2) features Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2070mAh Li-ion battery.
Unlike the Moto G (Gen 2), the Moto X (Gen 2) features a larger 5.2-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 423ppi pixel density, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It offers dual SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
The Moto X (Gen 2) is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, clocked at 2.5GHz alongside with 2GB of RAM. It comes in two storage variants – 16GB and 32GB, with no external storage support.
The new second generation Moto X sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with dual LED flash, and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear camera is capable of recording 4K videos. Connectivity options included with the smartphone are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, 4G LTE, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2300mAh battery.
