National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) Modular Certificate Examinations (MCE) hold in March, June & December every year.
The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) Modular Certificate Examination is designed to test applicants’ professional competence, after which those who pass will be awarded a certificate duly approved by the National Council on Education.
Who Can Apply For NABTEB Trade Modular Certificate Exam (TMCE) 2020?
To apply for the NABTEB MCE in 2020, you must be an holder of any/more of:
- Primary Six Certificate plus Certificate of Training or Apprenticeship
- Primary Six Certificate plus Trade Test Grade III, II & I
- JSS III or equivalent qualifications with sufficient knowledge in Introductory Technology
- Federal Craft Certificate
- SSCE
- Any other qualification
What The NABTEB Modular Certificate Exam (MCE) Look Like
TYPE/MODE OF EXAMINATION
(a) Multiple choice objective tests
(b) Short structured (response) questions (for some business trades as appropriate)
(c) Practical tests where candidates shall be required to construct, repair, manipulate, or demonstrate skills acquired in the following Trades.

- National Technical Certificate (NTC): This certificate is awarded to school candidates who sit for NABTEB technical trade-based examination at the end of secondary school or private candidates who want to get the certificate.
