Nextbin Robin cloud-driven Smartphone with Snapdragon 808 launched in India

Nextbin today has launched its high-end cloud-based smartphone in India, Robin, months after the official announcement. The most notable feature of the device is its ability to auto sync apps, data and files into Nextbin cloud storage securely, which can later be retrieve at the user own pleasure. When synchronizing, tiny four LEDs at the rear light up as indicator. In addition, it can auto sense apps and data that hasn’t be use for a while and archive them into cloud to free internal space. Nextbin is offering 100GB of free cloud storage space for each user, making a total of 132GB when combines with the phone built-in storage. External MicroSD card slot however is not present.

Specwise, the Nextbin Robin features a 5.2 IPS display with full-HD (1920×1080) resolution, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a 64-bit hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 418 GPU. Android 6.0 Marshmallow governs all software activities and there is a fingerprint sensor embedded beneath the physical home button for authentication.

In photography, the Robin sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus and dual-tone LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera is placed at the front. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band, NFC, GPS/A-GPS and USB Type-C. It is backed by a 2680mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0.

The Nextbin Robin will be exclusively available on FlipKart starting from 30th of May at a price of Rs 19,999 ($300 USD). It comes in Mint and Black colours.
