Nokia Proves It’s Still Alive With Nokia 215, First Cheapest Phone In 2015

That awkward moment we thought Nokia was dead, they surprised us by launching their first Android tablet, the Nokia N1, and now a new low cost Nokia branded phone is here dubbed as Nokia 215. The Nokia 215 is not a smartphone as you might think, but a portable handset that can let you surf the net, stay connected on facebook/twitter, and that let you know your city weather via pre-loaded MSN Weather. The device costs only $29 (Roughly #5,400 Nigerian Nairas) and will be available in Africa, Asia, Middle-East, and Europe.

The handset comes in two variants, Nokia 215 with single SIM support and Nokia 215 Dual with dual-SIM support, both device have the same specifications other than that the first support only one SIM card, while the other support two SIMs at a time.

The Nokia 215 features a 2.4-inch TFT display with a resolution of 240×320 pixel. It sports an 0.3-megapixel rear camera and packed a 1100mAh Li-ion battery, rated to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time and 696 hours of standby time. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 3.0, FM radio, and Micro-USB.

The Nokia 215 will be available in three colour variants – White, Green, and Black.
