Panasonic has introduced an upgraded version and successor of its P55 smartphone in India dubbed P55 Max. The “Max” in its naming denote its huge 5000mAh battery which is twice the size of battery packed in its predecessor. The battery can deliver days of talk time and a month of standby time in a single charge.
The P55 Max features a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280×720) resolution and a pixel density of 267ppi. It is driven by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor clocked at 1.25GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM, Mali-T720 GPU and 16GB of storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. Its predecessor P55 that was launched in 2014 only comes with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of storage.

The Android 7.0 Nougat smartphone sports a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with quad LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. On the connectivity front, it supports Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 4G VoLTE, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, FM radio, GPS, and Micro-USB. It measures 152×77.6×8.7mm and weighs 180 grams.
The Panasonic P55 Max is priced at Rs 8,499 (US$127). It is available exclusively on FlipKart in Gold and Matte Black colors.
