OPPO has announced a new camera-centric smartphone in India at an event organized by the firm earlier today. Dubbed F3, the device comes with dual front-facing cameras, the first boasting a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and the second an 8MP sensor, both flaunting wide-angle lens. According to OPPO, the cameras wide-angle lens gives the phone the ability to capture group selfie of large audience.
There is also a 13MP camera at the rear accompanied with phase detection auto focus and twin-tone LED flash. The F3 takes most of these specs from F3 Plus that was introduced in same region in March.

Moving on, the phone features a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with full-HD (1920×1080) resolution, protected on the surface with Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6750T processor with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, slammed with 4GB of RAM. It includes a 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.
Unlike most other smartphones, the OPPO F3 houses its SIM tray on the outside at the side, enabling users to easily swap in and out without removing the back cover. The firm is calling it “Triple-slot Card Tray” because it accommodates the MicroSD card too.
The device runs ColorOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and there is a fingerprint sensor embedded beneath the physical home button for smart security. Check out its complete specs below.

Priced at Rs 19,990 (US$300), the F3 will be available for pre-orders online exclusively on FlipKart and other selected offline stores starting today. It will start shipping from 13th of May.
