Oppo has released its first photocentric smartphone under its new F series in Vietnam, Oppo F1. The device was expected to debuts in India first, but it seems the company has its own way of making things happen. The Oppo F1 is listed for pre-orders on a third-party online store at a price of VND 6,490,000 ($289 USD).
The smartphone is wrapped in a metal body and has slim body profile of 7.85mm at its thickest point. It features a 5-inch IPS 2.5D curve display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device offers dual SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with ColorOS 2.1. Diving in, it is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

A 16GB storage is installed inside, which can be further stretched up to 128GB via MicroSD card. The Oppo F1 packs a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash at the rear, while it sports an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture at the front. Connectivity options onboard includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, 2G, and GPS/A-GPS. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.
The specs and pricing revealed by the online retailer correlate with the information provided by Oppobrandshop in Vietnam. We expect the phone to launch in India very soon.
