Panasonic on Monday has launched a new budget smartphone under its Eluga series in India called Eluga Icon. The device will be exclusively available on Amazon India starting from August 10 (today) in White and Gold colors at Rs 10,999 ($172 USD).
The notable feature of Eluga Icon is its huge 3500mAh battery, and its support of 4G LTE. It features a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS OGS display and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, however, the firm didn’t mentioned anything regarding Android Lollipop update. Diving in, the device is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core processor (unspecified) coupled with 2GB of RAM.

It comes with a 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card. The dual-SIM enabled Eluga Icon houses a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash that can record full-HD (1080p) video, while it is equipped with an 8-megapixel selfie-enabled camera at the front.
Connectivity options onboard are Wifi, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB with OTG.
