Panasonic today launched two new smartphones in India, Eluga Ray X and Eluga Ray Max. Both device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports dual SIM. The company is touting a new AI-based smart assistant called Arbo, which provides smart suggestions based on data gathered during the usage of the phone to further enhance user experience, depending on time and location. Arbo is not pre-loaded but will be available for these device in April.

The Eluga Ray X which is the lesser of the two features a 5.5-inch HD display; is powered by a quad-core processor with 3GB RAM; sports 13MP and 5MP cameras, and is backed by a 4,000mAh battery. The Eluga Ray Max on the other hand, features a 5.2-inch full-HD display and packs an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor sideloaded with 4GB of RAM. It comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera and 8MP front camera and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
Both smartphones harbors fingerprint sensors beneath the home button and offers 4G VoLTE.

The Eluga Ray X is priced at Rs 8,999 ($135), while the Eluga Ray Max 32GB and 64GB versions are priced at Rs 11,499 ($172) and Rs 12,499 ($187) respectively. Both device will be available exclusively on FlipKart from first week of April.
Last week, Panasonic introduced Eluga Pure in Taiwan, an entry-level smartphone running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The phone features a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB expandable storage. It went on pre-orders at NT$4,990 (US$159) and will start shipping today.
