P50 Idol and P65 Flash are Panasonic latest entry-level smartphones debuted in India. The first carries a price tag of Rs 6,790 ($104 USD) while the later is priced at Rs 8,290 ($127 USD). Both device will be available starting this week in retailers stores across the region.
The Panasonic P50 Idol and P65 Flash shares some common specifications which are 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified), 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card, 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front. Both runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM functionality.

However, there are few differences that seperate the two. The P50 Idol comes with a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, while P65 Flash packs a slightly larger 5.5-inch IPS display with same HD resolution. Also, the first is backed by a 2,150mAh removable battery while the later comes with a 2,910mAh battery.
Connectivity options remains the same on both device, these includes Wifi with Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB. The Panasonic P50 Idol will be available in Fabric Silver and Fabric Gold colors, and P65 Flash in Metallic Silver and Metallic Gold colors.
