Panasonic has added a new series to its “T” line-up dubbed as T40, the smartphone which went on sale in India yesterday is priced at Rs 5,990 (approximately $98).
Specifications
The Panasonic T40 features a 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. It support dual-SIM functionality and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Under the hood is a quad-core MediaTek processor, clocked at 1.3GHz along with 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone houses a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and 2-megapixel front camera for video chat. There’s an 8GB built-in storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card.
On the connectivity front, the Panasonic T40 support Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 1,500mAh Li-ion battery.
In July, the firm launched three budget smartphones in India, the T41, P41 and P61 all of which are powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
