A smartwatch tends to keep us at alert and informed when our smartphone are no where around or are not within our reach. However, not all smartwatch needs to be connected with a smartphone for it to function, there are some that even function as a phone like, iMacwear M7. Pebble may not belong to the second category but it does belong to the first.
Almost 70% of smartwatches released these days runs Android Wear OS, but again Pebble does not. The firm began operation as a start-up in 2013 on Kickstarter, which accept them with open arms, but since then it has gathered lots of interest and attentions. Pebble has again added a new series to its watch-line called Time. The watch was announced by the firm on Tuesday and will start shipping from May for $159 USD.

The Pebble Time features a colored E-ink display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, which reduces power consumption and tends to provide up to 7 days of usage time on a single charge. It sports a stainless steel bezel and any 22mm strap will easily fit its handle.
The watch works on Android (Android 4.0+) and iOS 8.0+ smartphones and its built-in microphone makes it easier to reply incoming notifications like SMS, Gmail, Facebook Messenger and more via voice. The Pebble Time comes with an upgraded operating system that offers more customizations than the previous release, according to the company. Moreover, it is waterproof certified as well.
The Pebble Time will be available in three different colours; White, Black, and Red, when it go on sale.
