Phillips on Wednesday launch a new high budget smartphone in China, the i966 Aurora. The phone which is currently on sale is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly $604, NGN 110,118) while the firm is yet to announce global availability.

The Phillips i966 Aurora features a 5.5-inch Quad-HD (1440*2560 pixels) display touting 534ppi pixel density, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The smartphone runs a customize Android operating system dubbed as YunOS 3.0 which is the first of its kind. It is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC, slammed bountifully with 3GB of RAM.
The new Phillips high cost smartphone spots a fingerprint scanner at the back and packs a 32GB internal storage. It houses a 20.7-megapixel rear snapper with IMX220 Exmor sensor and LED flash, and 8-megapixel front shooter for best selfie shot. Connectivity options included are Wifi, Bluetooth, 3G, 4G LTE, GPS and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 3,000mAh battery.
