Samsung today has silently launched a new budget smartphone under its Galaxy portfolio few days after introducing two devices in India. The Galaxy J1 Ace Neo as named, is listed on the company South Africa webpage along with its specifications, while its pricing and availability details is undisclose.

Measuring 130.1×67.6×9.5mm, the phone features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. It is powered by an unspecified quad-core chipset clocked at 1.5GHz (Probably MediaTek), coupled with 1GB of RAM, while an 8GB of storage is placed inside, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

Android 5.1 Lollipop governs all software activities, and there is a single SIM slot onboard with support of 4G LTE. In photography, the Galaxy J1 Ace Neo bears a 5-megapixel camera at the rear with Auto Focus and LED flash, while it harbours a 2-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Other connectivity options included besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth, WiFi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS + GLONASS, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 1900mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Neo weighs 131 grams and is listed in three colour variants, White, Blue, and Black.

Last week, Samsung launched Galaxy J2 2016 and Galaxy J Max in India, both priced at Rs 9,750 ($146) and Rs 13,400 ($201) respectively. The company also launched a themed edition of its Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone to mark the upcoming Rio 2016 olympic game, but failed to reveal its pricing.
