Samsung has launched an enhanced version of its Galaxy J3 smartphone in China dubbed Galaxy J3 Pro. The device is listed on the company website without availability details, however, it is expected to make it to network carrier China telecom later this month at a price of CNY 900 ($150 USD).
Painted in Gold and Grey colours, the Galaxy J3 Pro features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with HD (1280×720) resolution and pixel density of 294ppi. It is powered by a quad-core processor (unspecified) clocked at 1.2GHz, alongside with 2GB of RAM, a downgrade from 1.5GHz quad-core processor that powered the Galaxy J3 2016, its predecessor. There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.
The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with TouchWiz UI. It bears an 8-megapixel autofocus camera at the rear with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, while it sports a 5-megapixel selfie camera at the front. Connectivity options includes 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, GPS, NFC, and Micro-USB. It is fuelled by a 2600mAh battery.
