Samsung Outs Metal-Clad Galaxy C5 in China, Available for Pre-Orders

Samsung has officially takes the wraps off its next series smartphone in China which has been rumoured for a while. The Galaxy C series has just solidified, and hatching out first is the premium-looking Galaxy C5. It is wrapped in a sleek full metal body that measure 6.7mm at its thickest point, and weight just 143 grams. Sitting on the front is a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display flaunting a brilliant full-HD (1920×1080) resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 chipset with a clock speed of 1.5GHz, slammed with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. Samsung is offering the device in two storage variants, 32GB and 64GB, both of which are expandable.

The Galaxy C5 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports hybrid dual-SIM that enables the second SIM slot to be use as a MicroSD card slot. A fingerprint sensor is embedded below the physical home button for smart protection and authentication. Sitting at the back is a 16-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, while a secondary 8-megapixel selfie camera is equipped at the front.

Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, 2G, GPS, and NFC. It is backed by a 2600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.

The Samsung Galaxy C5 is available for pre-orders in selected online stores in China at a price of CNY 2199 ($330 USD) for 32GB version and CNY 2399 ($360 USD) for 64GB version. It will start shipping from 6th of June in Gold, Pink Gold, Silver, and Grey colours.
