SanDisk Ultra 200GB microSDXC

SanDisk has launched the world’s first 200GB MicroSDXC UHS-I card at the ongoing MWC event in Barcelonia. The new memory card will start shipping before the end of Q2 2015 at $399.99 (Roughly #80,000 NGN).

The highest capacity previously is 128GB, which most smartphones doesn’t even support. 32GB and 64GB seems to be the neutral points for all low-cost and mid-range smartphones, but things might change soon as the firms are now extending the boundary beyond that.

Smartphones that can use the 200GB MicroSDXC card are very few, we expect the One M8, LG G3 and Xperia Z3 to be upfront, though don’t take our word for it. Read/Write speed has been improved and increased to 90MB/s. The card also comes pre-loaded with SanDisk Memory Zone App for creating backup and gaining smooth access to stored files.

The 200GB MicroSDXC card is waterproof, dustproof, magnet-proof, temperature-proof, and X-ray proof as claimed by the firm.
