Sharp AQUOS ZETA

AQUOS ZETA (SH-01H) and AQUOS Compact (SH-02H) are Sharp latest flagship smartphones, launched at NTT Docomo winter line-up yesterday. Both has nearly bezelless design that gives them premium look on the outside. The first will be available from November and the second in January 2016, exclusively on NTT Docomo in Japan.

The AQUOS ZETA features a 5.3-inch IGZO capacitive touchscreen display with FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 416ppi pixel density, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, alongside with Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is a 32GB of built-in storage onboard, which is further expandable via MicroSD card (up to 200GB).

The AQUOS ZETA runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It is water resistant and dustproof certify with IP6X/IPX5 rating. It also has a fingerprint sensor placed at the back. A 13-megapixel autofocus camera with BSI sensor, LED flash is equipped at the rear, while an 8-megapixel camera with BSI sensor is placed at the front below the display due to lack of space at the head.

Connectivity options provided are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, GLONASS, NFC and Micro-USB. A 3100mAh battery turn it on.

Sharp AQUOS Compact

On the other hand, the Sharp AQUOS Compact features a smaller 4.7-inch IGZO display with full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It has same processor, clock speed and RAM on ZETA but includes a lower 16GB of built-in storage instead of 32GB on the first, which is also expandable up to 200GB via MicroSD card.

The AQUOS Compact lacks a fingerprint sensor but is water resistant and dustproof certify with IP6X/IPX5 rating. It packs a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with BSI sensor at the rear, accompanied with LED flash, and bears a 5-megapixel camera with BSI sensor at the front below the display. Connectivity options remains the same with AQUOS ZETA. It is backed by a 2,810mAh battery.

The Sharp AQUOS ZETA comes in Blue, Magenta and Black colors, while AQUOS Compact is painted in Blue, Silver and Yellow colors.
