Snapdragon-Powered HP Envy x2 Hybrid Windows 10 Laptop Announced

At the Qualcomm annual tech summit on Tuesday, HP in partnership with Qualcomm announced a Snapdragon-powered hybrid 2-in-1 Windows 10 laptop called Envy x2. The compact lightweight device is an “Always Connected PC” that provide a steady balance between mobility and excess compatibility of use with Windows application without taking a toll on battery.

According to HP, the Envy x2 can deliver up to 20 hours of battery life in a single charge and up to 700 hours of modern standby time. The laptop comes with a detachable keyboard with touchpad that instantly paired using Bluetooth connection. The keyboard also has a pen holder for keeping save an optional stylus made for the device.

Moving on, the hybrid 2-in-1 features a 12.3-inch touch sensitive multitouch display with WUXGA+ (1920×1200) resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio, protected on the surface by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. An octa-core Snapdragon 835 Mobile PC Platform powered the device, coupled with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of storage.

The Envy x2 lacks the support for Gigabit LTE found on its Asus rival, but nonetheless, it comes integrated with Qualcomm X16 LTE modem that offers Cat.16 download speed (up to 1Gbps) and Cat.13 upload speed (up to 150Mbps). Connectivity included are WiFi 802.11ac (MIMO), 2x USB Type-A ports, 3.5mm audio jack, MicroSD card reader, and Nano SIM card tray.
