Valve’s shooter has left us with real flashes of great episodes during those years that do justice to its trajectory. Not all of them are there, we know, but here are five of the most iconic highlights in the history of the game.
1. Double No-Scope on the Ladder from S1mple
Clutch s1mple vs Fnatic became the most famous in his career and perhaps in the entire history of the game. The Ukrainian managed to win an astonishing 1vs2 on Cache in the Semifinals of ESL One Cologne 2016, which was later awarded with the graffiti on the map’s B site, T-shirts, mats, and Oleksandr Kostylev himself even got a tattoo.
The Future of s1mple in the BLAST Premier: Fall Groups
With the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the future of the star AWPer has been full of unknowns. Oleksandr’s team starts on BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022, but the sniper himself doesn’t participate in the tournament. It turns out to be for the first time throughout his career in Natus Vincere.
If we look back in the past, s1mple made his debut playing for the Ukrainian club on August 20, 2016. Thus, the player was indispensable for six years! Now, all fans are interested to know whether the Ukrainian national team will make it to the Fall Finals 2022 without s1mple. All the match results and odds for NaVi can be found on the https://gg206.bet/en-ca page. It is also worth noting that the date of s1mple’s return is not called either. In theory, he may also miss ESL Pro League S16. But time will tell.
2. Coldreza’s Jumpi
The best highlight of the Brazilian AWPer is 4k with Deagle ace on Mirage against Team Liquid in MLG Columbus Semifinals. In the jump, Marcelo “coldzera” David managed to no-scope insane 4 frags from an uncomfortable position, which is very often killed either immediately or from the first exchange. After this double no-scope, Liquid couldn’t take a single round and lost first this card, and then the Semifinals of the Major event in Columbus.
3. Refrezh 1vs5 Clutch Ace
Another highlight in which Liquid was morally destroyed was performed by Ismail “refrezh” Ali from Heroic. The 23-year-old Danish entry fragger had secured four frags with Galil in the ESL Pro League S14 quarterfinal match against Liquid. After claiming this ace, Heroic players rejoiced very much and managed to win that match in overtime, moving ahead to face NaVi in the Semifinals of the event. On the other hand, there was a minute pause in which Liquid’s players sat and did not talk since they could not expect such an outcome.
4. Happy’s Deagle Ace on Inferno
Vincent “Happy” Cervoni is a retired French CS:GO player who was incredibly dangerous in 2015-16 and naturally received the title of MVP Major. But the best highlight both in his career and in the entire French CS:GO scene is ace with Deagle 5k against TSM on Inferno at DreamHack Open London 2015. Among many other plays inValve’s history, CS:GO fans chose Happy’s Deagle 4k Ace as the most standout play of the past 10 years. And it can’t be otherwise: accurate shots in the head, perfect steps, and a couple of successful aims in fig.
5. Zywoo Ace Clutch Pistol vs NaVi
Last but not least, let’s recap how ZywOo made the best clutch of his career by killing four NaVi players in a pistol round just in a few seconds. This incredible clutch of Vitality’s IGL was performed in the Grand Final of the IEM Beijing-Haidian Europe 2020.
And a few rounds later, ZywOo repeated this moment, but already against powerful weapons. After that, the Ukrainian players were morally crushed because it was already the fifth card of the final. Naturally, Vitality took the victory. A few months later, Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut was recognized as the MVP player of the year.
