Toshiba has just released its latest Windows tablet phone, the Encore 2. People usually thinks Windows phone are damn too expensive, but Toshiba has come to change that. With just only $199 you can buy the Windows 8.1 running Toshiba Encore 2 tablet.
The Encore 2 features an 8.0-inch display with a resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. It runs Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box. The Encore 2 is powered by a quad core Atom chip processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 32GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD card.
The battery life is rated to last for 10 hours if fully charge. There is also a 10-inch version with exact specs for $269.
The tablet comes with Bing as default search engine. Notably, the Toshiba Encore 2 tablet is the first to run Windows 8.1 with bing as default search engine and won’t probably be the last. All Windows 8.1 phones and tablets will comes with Bing as their default search engine Microsoft claims.
The Encore 2 also comes with one-year free Office 360 subscription.
The full specs are yet to be reveal, but it looks promising.
