Every South-East Politician Should Join APC – Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma says the whole political class in the South-East need to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

The governor said having all politicians in the area in the ruling party isn’t confined to state governors alone.

He said this during a meeting with State House journalists after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday, November 27, 2020.

While responding to the defection of his Ebonyi State counterpart, David Umahi, from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC, Uzodinma stated, “Everyone that isn’t in the APC now in the South East is a target.

“It isn’t just governors. It incorporates the individuals who are not governors, the whole political class.

“The entire thought is making the philosophy of the party known to the individuals, easing their apprehensions, and urging them to come.”

The governor kept up that any lawmaker who puts stock in Nigeria and a dish Nigeria demeanor must have a place with a public party.

“There is no refuting that in the event that you are not with the public party, and you decide to be in resistance, obviously, you will keep on fasting until God answers your supplications.

“Yet, we that are in the ruling party, obviously, what it will take us to tackle certain issues might be not the same as what it will take someone who isn’t extremely near the wellspring of power to take care of his own issues.”

Uzodinma said he quit being a vagrant in the South-East since Umahi joined the APC.

While trusting the area sees the explanation and the shrewdness to join the ruling party, the governor said he’s now putting forth attempts to have his kin in the APC.

The governor stated, “APC is the ruling party which approaches the Federal Government. Furthermore, in light of the fact that our proclaiming and gospel have consistently been the manner by which to join Nigeria, how to empower public solidarity, public coordination, and public union.

“It will be more practical to have my kin, the individuals of South-East observe reason and join the APC, the public party.

“I am exceptionally hopeful that bit by bit, we will arrive. It’s a matter of persuading our kin, which we are doing.”

In January 2020, Uzodinma, who came fourth in the governorship political race in Imo state was pronounced champ of the political race in the wake of crushing Emeka Ohadioha at the Supreme Court.
