Xiaomi Mi 4 With Full HD Display And Quad Core Snapdragon 801 SoC Officially Launched

Xioami has launched a new budget smartphone under its Mi series in China, the Mi 4. The smartphone comes in two storage variants, 16GB and 32GB, both of which are priced at CNY 1999 (approx $322) and CNY 2499 (approx $402) respectively.

The 4G enabled version of the smartphone will be available starting from September outside China. In terms of specs, the Xioami Mi 4 is an upgraded version of the Mi 3 that was launched earlier this month.

The Mi 4 features a 5-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1080×1920 pixels, it offers single functionality (Micro SIM) and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, overlay with the company’s MIUI 6 UI.

The new Mi 4 by Xiaomi is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, slammed with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage with no external storage support.

The Mi 4 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony CMOS sensor and LED flash, and 8-megapixel secondary front camera for best selfie shot. Connectivity options included are WiFi with Hotspot, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, and Micro-USB. It is backed ny 3080mAh battery.

Last week, Xiaomi launched two Android smartphones in India, the Redmi S1 and Redmi Note, the first is powered by quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor and runs Android 4.3 Jelly bean, while the second is powered by octa-core MediaTek processor and runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean.
