ZTE Launches Nubia Z9 Max, Nubia Z9 Mini With Snapdragon 810 And 4G LTE

After much leaks, ZTE has finally debuted its long rumoured high budget smartphones which may as well be their 2015 flagships, the Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini. The firm on Thursday unveiled both device in China as previously announced earlier by the firm. The Nubia Z9 Max is priced at CNY 2.499 ($405 USD) and will go on sale starting from April 16 while the Nubia Z9 Mini will set sail on April 2 at CNY 1,499 ($243 USD). However, availability outside China is yet to be revealed or make mentione of.

The Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini shares the same specifications when compare but differs in screen size and processor. The first features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a full-HD resolution of 1080×1920 pixels which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with the firm new Nubia UI 2.8 and packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (quad-core 2GHz + quad-core 1.5GHz) processor slammed with 3GB RAM. Notably, this is the first time ZTE will use Qualcomm latest chipset, Xiaomi made use of this on Mi Note Pro two months ago.

With a powerful mobile engine onboard, the Nubia Z9 Max doesn’t lose position in photocentric world. It is equipped with a 16-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash while it houses an 8-megapixel selfie-enabled front camera. Both cameras sports Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor.

There’s a 32GB of internal storage onboard which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card. On the connectivity front, the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max support Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi (Dual Band), 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA), GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, MHL 3.0, and USB with OTG. It is fuelled by a 2900mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Nubia Z9 Mini features a smaller 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080×1920
pixels touting a pixel density of 441ppi and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 1GHz) processor merged with 2GB of RAM.

Other specifications remains the same with Nubia Z9 Max series which include 16-megapixel rear camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 32GB storage, and 2900mAh battery.
