Zuk Z2 Pro packs 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 in a very slender body

Zuk has launched Z2 Pro, the company second high-end smartphone under “Z”series in China. The first dubbed Z1 was introduced in August last year, and though it sports attractive specifications, the Z2 Pro seems to have taken the attractiveness to next level. It has a sleek glass body endowed with an aluminium frame, and its thinness can easily be felt in hand. Sitting at the front is a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED 2.5D curve glass display, flaunting a full-HD (1920×1080) resolution and 424ppi pixel density. The display has a brightness of 500 nits and a aspect view of 100,000:1.

Diving in, it is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with a clock speed of 2.15GHz, slammed with Adreno 530 GPU. The Zuk Z2 Pro comes in two flavours, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM with 64GB storage version and 6GB LPDDR4 RAM with 128GB storage version, both of which doesn’t offer external storage supports. Placed underneath the physical home button at the bottom of the display is a fingerprint sensor governs by the firm U-Touch 2.0 software, which promises up to 99.7 percent accuracy rate. There are also heart rate sensor and UV sensor onboard.

The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Zuk custom ZUI 2.0 layed on top. In Photography, a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.8 aperture, hybrid Phase Detection Auto Focus and ISOCELL sensor is equipped at the rear, accompanied with dual-tone LED flash, while it sports an 8-megapixel shooter at the front. Connectivity options included are WiFi 802.11ac dual band, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G LTE + VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS and USB 3.1 Type-C. It is fuelled by a 3100mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.

The 6GB RAM version is priced at CNY 2699 ($416) and will go on pre-order from 22nd of April. The lower version will be available for pre-order starting from May but there is no word on its pricing. For those who might not know, Zuk is a sub-brand of Lenovo company.
