Microsoft has added a new budget smartphone to its low cost category, the Lumia 430 Dual SIM. The phone was announced by the firm on Thursday and will start sailing from April in Asia, Europe, Africa, Russia and other regions with a price tag of $70 USD (Roughly #14,500 NGN).
The Lumia 430 is the forth and the cheapest smartphone to be released by the firm in 2015 after Lumia 640, Lumia 435 and Lumia 532. It runs with Windows Phone 8.1 with Denim Update out-of-the-box which the firm said is upgradeable to Windows 10. Freebies included are 30GB OneDrive cloud storage and Office 365.
The Lumia 430 Dual-SIM features a 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) IPS display and support dual-SIM with dual standby. It is powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM. At the rear, the device houses a 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera while it also sports a VGA front camera for video calling.
The smartphone offers 8GB of internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card. Connectivity options included are Wifi, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, and GPS. It is backed by a 1500mAh battery.
The Lumia 430 will be available in Bright Orange and Black colour variants.
