Here are things you should NOT do on your period.
1. Forget Your Period Date
Always be prepared for your periods. Have your pads and tampons available in advance. Happily live through this period of the month and doing things that make you happy.
2. Be Aggressive
If you feel grouchy, like some ladies do instead of yelling unnecessarily or being mean. Simply talk to your partner or family about it. You could also take a walk or read a book. Use time to research on ways you can improve your health, and your lifestyle.
3. Eat Too Much Junk
Some ladies use their periods as an excuse to eat a lot of junk in a bid to feel good and be calm. It is good to spoil yourself but keep it down a notch. Make yourself smoothies using fresh fruit, berries, and coconut milk yogurt. Satisfy your sweet tooth with organic fruit leathers. They are sweeter, tastier, and healthier than candy.
4. Eat Salty Foods
As much as you hate yourselves at this time and want to crunch on some potato chips to keep us on track, salty foods make you bloat, especially when on your period. Instead, snack on the healthy stuff, like fruits and vegetables, to supply your body with much-needed minerals and vitamins during this time.
5.Wear The Same Protection For A Whole Day
If you are having a heavy flow, change your pads and tampons at least 3 to 4 times a day. Wearing the same pad or tampon all through the day can cause odor. Keep an extra supply of pads and tampons in your bag so you can take the time to change while at work.
6. Taking Dairy Products
Limit your intake of dairy products such as milk, cheese, and even yogurt as they can cause cramps. Rather make delicious smoothies using non-dairy coconut milk yogurts.
7. Avoid The Gym
Exercise will help relieve cramping and other bodily aches when we are bleeding.
8.Wear White Pants
White pants should be the last on your ‘what-to-wear’ list when you are on your period. You don’t want to face the struggle of taking off stains afterward.
9. Go To Bed Without A Pad/Tampon
Going to bed without a pad or tampon especially at night will cause a mess on your sheets, mattress, and sleepwear.
