The Chinese firm Vivo, today has introduced a new selfie-focused mid-end device in India called V5, which is tagged as world’s first smartphone to sports 20-megapixel front-facing camera. The Vivo V5 is here to satisfy the craziest desire of selfie maniac, not globally, but thankfully in India.

To bring the elegance out of this beautiful piece of lens, the camera is accompanied with Sony IMX376 sensor for best image clarity and has f/2.0 aperture for great capture in low-light condition. The company is also touting a feature called Moonlight Glow, which when enable uses the front soft LED flash placed besides the camera to virtually create natural glow that enhances the lightness of picture taking in diverse lightning condition.

In terms of specifications, the Vivo V5 features a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280×720) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, alongside with Mali-T860 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It includes a 32GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card.
The phone runs FunTouch OS 2.6 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and offers hybrid dual SIM slots that enables the second SIM slot to be use as a MicroSD slot. Besides its tiny but huge front megapixel camera, the Vivo V5 also houses a 13-megapixel camera at the back with Phase Detection Auto Focus and LED flash. There is a fingerprint sensor placed beneath the home button for smart security as well.
Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi, GPS/A-GPS + GLONASS, and USB OTG. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
The Vivo V5 wears a price tag of Rs 17,980 ($270). It will be available for pre-orders starting from Wednesday November 16 to November 25, and will start shipping from November 26.
