Lenovo P2 with Snapdragon 625, 5.5″ FHD AMOLED display, LTE Announced

Lenovo has made a new addition to its “P” series of products at the ongoing IFA event in Berlin named P2, a successor to P1 that was launched by the firm last year. Wrapped in a metal body, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display boasting a full-HD (1920×1080) resolution and pixel density of 401ppi.

It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0GHz alongside with Adreno 506 GPU. The phone comes in two variants, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, both expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports dual SIM. A fingerprint sensor is equipped below the physical home button for smart security and authentication.

Sitting at the back is a 13-megapixel camera accompanied with dual-LED flash, while it houses a 5-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth, WiFi with Hotspot, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS/A-GPS, and NFC. It is fuelled by a gigantic 5110mAh battery with fast charging.

The Lenovo P2 will be available later this year at a starting price of €249 ($277 USD).

Lenovo also launched A Plus, an entry-level smartphone with 3G. It comes with 4.5-inch FWVGA (854×480) display; packs a MediaTek MT6580 chipset with 1GB RAM; sports 5MP and 2MP cameras, and is backed by a 2000mAh battery. The Lenovo A Plus runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports dual SIM. It is priced at €69 ($77 USD).
