We have seen 13″, 12″, and 15″ convertible laptops offered by Lenovo under its Yoga and Miix line-up, but the new Yoga Book is explicitly different from other tablets unveiled at IFA today. It has a very compact body that is just 9.6mm thick when closed and 4.05mm when opened, this however does not have negative effects on its strength and posture, thanks to its magnesium aluminium build.
When opened, the tablet is split into two separate sections joined by a thin hinge which Lenovo claimed is made of five different materials. The first part holds a 10.1-inch WUXGA+ display with 400 nits of brightness, and the second part a keyboard. The keyboard however is not a physical one as you might think, but a fully responsive touch LED-backlit keyboard made of tough glass with matt finish. To erase blurs that are likely to occur due to fingerprints, the glass is anti-glare coated. Built-in artificial learning software and prediction makes the keyboard smarter by learning the typing behavior of its user. The device offers four different modes, Browse, Watch, Create, and Type.

As if that is not enough, the Yoga Book is also accompanied by dual-use stylus that offers 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity. The stylus will split ink when in contact with a paper, which makes it suitable for office work, though we are yet to know if the ink can be refill. The tablet comes in two variants, the first runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and the second Windows 10 Pro.
It is powered by an Intel Atom processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. There is a single nano SIM slot onboard and it support Dolby Atmos as well.
