TCL 560 with Eyeprint Identification, 4G LTE + VoLTE debuts in India at $120

TCL today has introduced 560, its latest budget smartphone with 4G LTE and VoLTE in India. The phone features 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touch display with a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and pixel density of 267ppi. It is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor clocked at 1.1GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 304 GPU. It includes a 16GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

One notable feature that makes the TCL 560 quite interesting despite its low-end processor and not-so-brilliant resolution is eyeprint identification onboard which the company called “Eye Verify”, allowing users to quickly lock and unlock the smartphone by just glaring at the front camera. This may not be as effective as Iris recognition, but it does help.

The device also runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and supports dual-SIM. In photography, it comes equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while a 5-megapixel camera is placed at the front for taking selfie, also accompanied with a LED flash. Other connectivity options included besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, 3G, 2G, GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery.

The TCL 560 will be exclusively available on Amazon India starting today at a price of Rs 7,999 ($120 USD). It is painted in Metallic Gold and Dark Grey colours.
