Alongside with the Honor V8 introduced in China on Tuesday, Huawei also launched the Honor Band A1, its latest fitness tracker and monitor. The wristband can be use to track various recreational activities such as walk, steps, run, and calories burn during exercise. It can also track sleep and can even go further to track naps and measure the quality of sleep.
The Honor Band A1 can connects and synchronize data with smartphone running Android or iOS via its built-in Bluetooth 4.2. When connected, a single LED light placed at its face light-up and notify an user when there is an incoming call, SMS alert and other notifications. The band also vibrate to alert an user of these notifications as well.
Another feature the gadget offer is UV sensor that sense and measure Ultraviolet radiation, which can help in choosing the right sunscreen to use at a specific time. It is waterproof certify with IP57 rating, and the battery equipped inside can deliver up to 28 days of standby time in a single charge. The wristband has a metal frame and comes in two band options, leather and silicon. The silicon version is priced at CNY 99 ($15 USD) and the leather version at CNY 199 ($30 USD).
