Pelephone, an Israeli-based mobile telecommunication company, has launched two new budget smartphones in Israel, GINI N6 and GINI W5, both of which are the first Android smartphones to wear the company brand name. The first is priced at NIS 1499 (approx $385 USD) and the second at NIS 999 (approx $260 USD).
Starting with the first, the GINI N6 is a flagship device that sports interesting specs despite its medium price range. The Android 5.1 Lollipop smartphone features a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and pixel density of 424ppi, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T760 GPU.

The device includes a non-expandable 32GB of built-in storage, and has a single SIM (Micro) slot with support of 4G LTE. At the rear, the GINI N6 packs a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash, while it bears an 8-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options onboard besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS and Micro-USB. The smartphone measures 72.4 x 148.8 x 5.5 mm and weight just 125 grams. It is backed by a 2700mAh battery.
The Pelephone GINI W5 also sports interesting specs as well. It features a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) AMOLED display, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. There is a 16GB of built-in storage onboard which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.
The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a single SIM slot with support of 4G LTE just as the first. It packs a 13-megapixel camera with LED flash at the rear, and a 5-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options included besides 4G LTE are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS and USB Type-C. It is backed by a 3,150mAh battery.
The Pelephone GINI W5 measures 76.4 x 155 x 7.5 mm and weight 158 grams. It comes in White and Blue color variants.
Along with GINI N6 and GINI W5, Pelephone also released an entry-level GINI S4, wearing a price tag of NIS 599 ($154). It features a 5-inch HD display; 1.3GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM; 16GB of built-in storage; 2000mAh battery; 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.
