Karbonn has launched K9 Smart, its latest entry-level smartphone in India. The device is priced at Rs 3,990 ($60 USD) and will be available across the region starting this week.
The Karbonn K9 Smart features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. It offers dual SIM functionality with dual standby and runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) coupled with 512MB of RAM.

There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD card. At the rear, the K9 Smart packs a 3.2-megapixel camera accompanied with LED flash, while it bears 1.3-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, 2G, GPS, FM radio and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,300mAh battery.
