Motorola has announced Moto G Turbo Edition, its latest mid-budget smartphone in India. The device will be exclusively available for purchase on e-commerce website Flipkart starting today December 10 at a price of Rs 14,499 ($223 USD). There is no word on availability outside India.
Specwise, the Moto G Turbo Edition features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. There is a 16GB storage inside which is further expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card.

The smartphone support dual SIM functionality and runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. Also, it is waterproof and dustproof certify with IP67 rating. At the rear, the Moto G Turbo Edition packs a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, accompanied with dual-tone LED flash, while it bears a 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera at the front for taking selfie.
Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 3G, 2G, GPS and Micro USB. It is backed by a 2470mAh battery with Turbo charge. According to Motorola, the phone can deliver up to 6 hours of usage with 15 minutes of charge.
Earlier last month, Motorola launched Moto G Turbo in Mexico. However, there are few differences between the one launched in India and the one released in Mexico. For instance, the Mexico version has a full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display instead of HD, and IPX7 rating for waterproof and dustproof instead of IP67.
