Nokia 230 and 230 Dual With Selfie Camera, Dual LED Flash Announced

Microsoft on Wednesday has introduced a new entry-level handset, Nokia 230, running on Series 30+ OS. The phone also comes in dual SIM variant dubbed Nokia 230 Dual, sporting same specifications as the first besides the difference in SIM card each can accomodate.

In physical appearance, the device sports a polycarbonate frame and has an aluminium back panel which acts as battery cover. It has a body thickness of 10.9mm and an overall weightness of 91.8 grams. The Nokia 230 features a 2.8-inch TFT display with QVGA (320 x 240 pixels) resolution, and has a keypad placed under it. It offers only 2G service and comes pre-installed with Opera Mini, Bing Search, Facebook and MSN Weather.

Nokia 230 Dual SIM in Black color

The handset sports a 2-megapixel fixed-focus camera with LED flash at the rear, while another 2-megapixel camera is equipped at the front which is also accompanied with a LED flash for taking selfie. Besides 2G, it also offers Bluetooth 3.0 as connectivity option. There is a MicroSD card slot onboard with support of up to 32GB, and a FM radio. It is backed by a 1,200mAh battery with up to 27 hours of talk time.

The Nokia 230 and Nokia 230 Dual SIM are priced at US$55 (#11,000 NGN) and will be available in White and Black colors starting from December in selected Asia markets which includes India, Malaysia, Thailand and the Middle East. Other regions is expected to follow.
