Tag Heuer has launched its latest premium smartwatch that has long been expected, the Tag Heuer Connected. The watch which falls under what we called smart luxury, costs a whooping $1,500 USD (approx #299,000 NGN) and is now on sale on the company website.
The Tag Heuer Connected runs on Android Wear operating system with the support of both Android and iOS platform. It will readily work on smartphone running Android 4.3+ or iOS 8.0+. What makes it cost more (considering other smartwatch released before this time) despite it runs Android Wear is its premium stylish design. The watch is made of grade 2 titanium scratch resistant body, and has a single dial button at the right side that can be personalized to activate different functions when tune or press. Its bezel is made of carbide-coated titanium metal with anti-fingerprint coating, while a single push-button sits at the middle, crafted with Tag Heuer Shield on top.

In the main screen area is a 1.5-inch LTPS LCD display, touting a pixel resolution of 320 x 320 and a pixel density of 240ppi, protected on top with sapphire crystal. A 1.6GHz dual-core processor powered it on the inside, paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM. The Tag Heuer Connected is splash-proof and water resistant certified with IP67 rating. Different watch faces can be selected to match wearers outfit and to blend with six different color straps (White, Blue, Red, Green, Orange, Yellow) available.
Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.1 LE and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz). Sensors onboard includes Gyroscope, Heptic Feedback, Tilt Detection sensor, and Microphone. It is turn on by a 410mAh battery, which according to the firm can deliver up to 25 hours in normal use.
