HTC on Monday has released a new smartphone under its Desire range in India named Desire 728G Dual SIM, wearing a price cap of Rs 17,990 ($275 USD). The device will be available starting this week at online and offline stores across the region. No word on global availability.
The Desire 728G Dual SIM is a new variant of Desire Desire 728 Dual SIM launched by the company in September. Unlike its predecessor, the new smartphone supports only 3G. It features a 5.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Sense UI.

Diving in, it is driven by a 64-bit octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, alongside with 1.5GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU. A 16GB storage is equipped inside, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via MicroSD card. The Desire 728G Dual SIM as its name suggest offers dual-SIM functionality, it packs a 13-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.2 aperture, BSI sensor and LED flash at the rear, while it harbours a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.8 aperture. Both of the cameras can record video in full-HD (1080p).
Other connectivity options provided besides 3G are Bluetooth 4.1, Wifi, GPRS/EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and FM radio. It is powered by a 2800mAh battery. The HTC Desire 728G Dual SIM sports two front speakers with Boomsound, which is further enhanced with Dolby audio. It will be available in Purple Myst and White Luxury when it goes on sale.
