A brother of the late Hosea spoke on a condition of anonymity to news reporters that his brother and two other policemen had to drive against the traffic simply because there was a really tight gridlock and when they drove past and got to EPCL gate, a soldier approached them to give them a warning. That was when they started to argue which grew from being just an argument to a fight. One of the soldiers, who eventually joined the fight, used a thick stick to hit the head of my brother. This made his brother fall down, he couldn’t move and that was how he died.
According to the late Hosea’s brother, his brother was rushed to UPTH, University Of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital and after 24 hours on admission, he died at the hospital. He, however, demanded justice for his brother’s death stating that his brother was the victim and the culprits are brought to book.
