Huawei has launched a new mid-budget smartphone in China named Honor Joy 5, the first in Joy series. The device will be available starting this week at a price of CN¥ 999 ($157 USD) for unlocked version and CN¥ 899 ($141 USD) for China Telecom. Availability for global markets is not mentioned.
The Huawei Honor Joy 5 (also known as Enjoy 5) which was first expected to be named Play 5X features a 5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with Emotion UI 3.1. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, slammed with 2GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU.

The smartphone has a 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. A 13-megapixel autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture, BSI sensor sits at the back while it is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera at the front. The dual-SIM enabled Honor Joy 5 offers Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, and USB OTG as connectivity options. It is backed by a 4,000mAh battery which the firm claims can last for days in a single charge.
It comes in three different colors White, Grey, and Black.
