Amazon New Fire Tablet Offers 7″ Display, Quad-Core Chipset For Just $50

Among the devices Amazon unleashed today is a 7-inch tablet, and probably one of the cheapest tablet ever launched. The Amazon Fire tablet as named costs just US$49.99 and its specifications is quite interesting despite its outrageous price. But the thing is, ads are displayed on its screen saver which may be annoying to some. To gets the ads off, users will need to shed another US$15 making a total amount of US$64.99.

The device features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels and 170ppi pixel density. It powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified) slammed with 1GB of RAM. There is an 8GB of built-in storage onboard, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via MicroSD card.

The Fire tablet runs Fire OS 5 Bellini based on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box but lacks voice calling functionality. A 2-megapixel camera with HD (720p) video recording is equipped at the rear, while it a 0.3-megapixel camera at the front. Connectivity options included are Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi and USB 2.0. The firm claims Amazon Fire tablet can last up to 7 hours in single charge.
