Xiaomi on Tuesday introduced its first Android Go edition smartphone, the Redmi Go. The phone will be heading to the European market and the Philippines sometime in February, while availability for other regions is not revealed. In Europe, it is expected to cost €80.
The Redmi Go features a 5-inch HD (1280×720) display, which is a bit generous considering its limited Android Go tag. Driving the phone is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and Adreno 308 GPU. There is an option to chose between 8GB and 16GB storage, both expandable via MicroSD card.

Sitting at the back is an 8MP autofocus camera with a LED flash, while a 5MP camera resides at the front for selfie and video calling. The Redmi Go has hybrid dual SIM slot that will enable users to use the secondary SIM card slot as a MicroSD card slot.
Connectivity present on the device includes Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, 4G VoLTE, 3G, 2G, GPS, and Micro-USB. The whole system relied on a 3000mAh battery for power.
When it go on sale, buyers will be able to grab the phone in either Blue or Black colors.

The pricing details of Redmi Go for the Philippines market has been revealed by Xiaomi. The phone will be available for PHP 3,990 ($76 USD) at select stores across the country. Pre-order have already begin on Lazada.

Few months after its initial launch in some part of Europe and in the Philippines, Xiaomi today has launched the Redmi Go in India. The phone will be available on Flipkart and Mi online and offline stores across India for Rs 4,499 (US$63), starting from March 22nd.
Update (May 27, 2019)
Xiaomi has introduced the 16GB storage version of the Redmi Go in India. The specifications, features, and body design remains the same, but this comes with a 16GB of storage. It costs Rs 4,799 (US$69) and is available on Flipkart.
