As already expected today, Motorola has officially announced Moto G 3rd Gen in an event taking place in India. The phone comes in two variants, the 1GB RAM/8GB storage version carries a price tag of Rs 11,999 ($187 USD) while the 2GB RAM/16GB storage version cost Rs 12,999 ($203 USD). Both version will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting 28th of August.
The Moto G 3rd Gen a.k.a Moto G 2015 is the successor of Moto G 2nd Gen that was launched along with Moto X 2nd Gen last year. It features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.4GHz alongside with Adreno 306 GPU.

It is waterproof certify with IPX7 rating, meaning it can survive up to 30 minutes in 3 feet of water. The Moto G 3rd Gen houses a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, twin-toned LED flash, while it sports a secondary 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera at the front for taking selfie. The phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box and offers dual-SIM functionality. Connectivity options included are 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio, and Micro-USB. It is backed by a 2,470mAh battery.
