After several leaks and ear deafening rumours, Samsung has finally unleashed its next budget smartphone in China, Galaxy A8. The device is listed on the firm website, however, pricing and availability details are yet to be announced.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 is wrapped in a full metallic body that measures 158 x 76.8 x 5.9mm, sporting a thickness of just 5.9mm. It features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a full-HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the smartphone is driven by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (4-core 1.5GHz + 4-core 1.0GHz) processor slammed with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU.

The Galaxy A8 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out-of-the-box and packs a fingerprint scanner underneath the home button for smart security and authentication. There is a 16-megapixel camera with autofocus, f/1.9 sensor at the rear accompanied with LED flash, while it houses a secondary 5-megapixel wide-angle lens camera at the front for best selfie shot.
It comes in two storage version, 16GB and 32GB, both of which are expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD card. On the connectivity front, the Galaxy A8 support 4G LTE, 3G (HSPA+), 2G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wifi, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, and Micro-USB. It is powered by a 3,050mAh battery.
Dual SIM variant is also expected to launch soon. The device comes in three different colors White, Gold, and Black.
