Sony Xperia Z4v Goes Exclusive In US With QHD Display, 3000mAh Battery

Sony naming conversion for its Xperia Z series line-up took another dimension this year. The firm launched Xperia Z4 in April which was made exclusive for Korea only, followed by Xperia Z3+ for worldwide audience, both having same specifications and design. Now, the naming is about to get nastier as Sony announced a new budget smartphone exclusively on Verizon Wireless in US named as Xperia Z4v.

The Sony Xperia Z4v specifications is a bit different from the ones mentioned above, it comes with same 5.2-inch Trilumionus display but packs a QHD (2560×1440 pixel) resolution instead of full-HD (1920×1080 pixel) resolution. Also, the battery has been further pushed up from 2930mAh to 3000mAh and it now support both Qi and PMA wireless charging standard out-of-the-box which Xperia Z4 and Xperia Z3+ lacks.

Other specifications remains the same, this includes 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 20.7-megapixel rear camera, and 5-megapixel front camera. The Xperia Z4v is also dustproof and waterproof certify.

The Xperia Z4v sports Verizon brand logo at the front and back, making it distinguishable from the rest. Pricing and availability are yet to be reveal.
