ZTE has officially launched its long awaiting Nubia flagship on Wednesday in China, the Nubia Z9. The smartphone comes in three variants Classic, Elite, and Exclusive, each sporting different pricing. The Nubia Z9 Classic Edition which is the cheapest in the list carries a price tag of CNY 3499 (approx $565 USD, #112,500 NGN), followed by Elite Edition at CNY 3999 (approx $645 USD, #128,500 NGN) while the Exclusive Edition is priced at CNY 4499 (approx $725 USD, #144,500 NGN).
The difference between ZTE Nubia Z9 Classic, Elite, and Exclusive Edition is the first packs a 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage, the second includes a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage while the later comes with a 4GB RAM, 64GB storage and fingerprint sensor with Tio (Three-in-one) technology which is embedded below the power and volume rocker button. All other specifications remains the same. The highlight of the device is its premium aluminium body and bazel-less design. The phone also touts Dolby Audio system and comes pre-loaded with a specialize audio chip for best sound quality and music experience.

Specwise, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch 2.5D IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box topped with nubia UI 3.0. It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 (4-core 2GHz Cortex A53 + 4-core 1.5GHz Cortex A57) processor slammed with Adreno 430 GPU.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 sports a 16-megapixel camera with autofocus, Sony IMX234 sensor, OIS (optical image stabilization) and LED flash at the rear for best photography while it is equipped with an 8-megapixel front shooter with Sony IMX179 sensor for selfie shot.
Despise its light weight of 192 grams and thin posture with dimension of 147.4×68.3×8.9 mm, the Nubia Z9 offers dual-SIM (nano) option with 4G TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE support. Other connectivity options include 3G (HSPA+), GPRS/EDGE, Wifi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/A-GPS, MHL 3.0 (TV Output), and USB with OTG. It is powered by a 2900mAh battery.
The ZTE Nubia Z9 will go on sale in China from 21st of May with pre-registration opening starting on Thursday. Availability for global market is yet to be disclosed.
In March, ZTE launched Nubia Z9 Max and Nubia Z9 Mini both of which packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset. The phones are yet to be available outside China.
