Hanmac New Defency Luxury Smartphone Will Cost You $3,100: Alien Outcast

Hanmac New Defency

Different phones are made for different class of people (believe me), sometimes you don’t need to ask your pal or the person you’ve just met today which class (s)he belongs because there are some things that speak louder than voice, the New Defency by Hanmac may be one of those things.

We’ve seen a lot of luxury smartphones but the New Defency seems rather odd in look and its design looks like the alien type, we can’t really find a specific word to describe it (buy us one and we will). On the front, it sports a 3.5-inch WVGA (800×480) display, which is protected by a sapphire glass. The front buttons are made of ceramic and you can take a selfie with its 3-megapixel front camera that is aligned with the Proximity and Ambient light sensors that are located at the top of the display.

Diving in, the New Defency is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, topped with 2GB of RAM. Disappointingly, the smartphone runs the now-dated Android 4.2 Jelly bean out-of-the-box and there is no 4G LTE onboard as well. A 64GB storage is inside for app installation and multimedia files which we doubt is expandable, while it is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera at the back.

The New Defency is exclusively made for Chinese market. If you’ve got a lot of coins to spend, you can buy one for just $3,100 USD (approximately NGN 590,000), but if you haven’t, Intex will gladly accept you with open arms.
